ANI/ DNIS/ISDN - Routing Calls on the DNIS Number

You can program the system to route incoming calls on the DNIS number by assigning the ANI/DNIS trunk as a dial-in trunk in the Trunk Attributes form. If an incoming call contains DNIS information, the system will then route the call based on the DNIS number. The system can perform digit modification on DNIS numbers that are received on dial-in trunks.

If DNIS information is not available for incoming calls on a trunk, the calls can be routed to an answer point instead. To route calls to an answer point, program the trunk as a non-dial-in trunk. Then, enter the Trunk Attributes form, and assign the answer point to the trunk service number of the non-dial-in trunk.
